BASIC FUNCTION
This position will provide strategic direction, planning, oversight, management and accountability for product categories being pursued or managed. This position requires an individual to complete tasks and assignments in a timely but thorough manner in support of department goals.
SCOPE
The Category Manager, who reports to the Senior Sourcing Manager, will lead multiple product categories and manage supplier relationships. Kiewit Corporation has an annual spend of $4-5 billion, a portion of which the Category Manager will have responsibility over.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement.
Research and provide information about global markets in assigned categories.
Manage and support scope assessment, financial and data analysis, negotiations, and the contracting process for assigned categories.
Identify and analyze exposure to category and logistical risks.
Supplier relationship management, including contract compliance and performance.
Coordination of communication on category issues.
Participation in corporate, business unit (district) and job procurement activities including meetings, training and sourcing projects.
Forecasting and reporting results by job, area, and business unit (district).
Document cost savings and process benefits related to preferred supplier programs.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven category management knowledge, with an understanding of what impacts various categories.
Strategic sourcing experience, with a strong understanding of and comfort with the strategic sourcing process.
Ability to work successfully in a decentralized purchasing environment.
Ability to use an ERP system for procurement practices.
Understanding of supplier management, with a solid background in supplier performance management metrics or supplier relationship management.
Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to motivate people, manage resources effectively and work with business partners to achieve goals in aggressive timelines.

Experience
Two years of general building experience.
Education and Licensure
Steam plant 3rd grade engineers course NAPE required.
Must possess license as a 3rd grade Stationary Engineer in Omaha with two years of boiler operation.
If working in Iowa, employee must have either a 3rd grade Iowa state license or a 3rd grade Omaha engineers license.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Continuous use of reading skills as well as frequent verbal and written communication.
Demonstrated skill working on boilers, electricity, and pneumatic systems required.
Must be skilled in water chemistry treatment as well as reading/interpreting blueprints and technical manuals.
Should possess high mechanical aptitude.

Job Description:
We are currently recruiting heavily for a senior level Geophysicist to support existing programs and projects within our clients Munitions Response, Site Characterization and Remediation service area. This individual will be supporting the Army Corps of Engineers munitions removal program. The successful candidate will apply their geological and geophysical backgrounds and experience to provide cost effective geophysical surveys for munitions response sites. This individual will be conducting geophysical investigations at ordnance response sites, geophysical mapping, detection and discrimination for buried military munitions, environmental and water resource projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidates will have a degree in geophysics, geology, geological engineering or a closely related field, and 5-10 plus years of experience in geophysical investigations at ordnance response sites, geophysical mapping, detection and discrimination of buried military munitions. This individual has overall responsibility for design, implementation, and management of all geophysical investigations required for the work effort related to military munitions. Familiarity with Geosoft munitions software applications (or related) preferred.
