This is a rare 1945 “Occupied Japan” collectible item. In 1945, my father was stationed in “Occupied Japan”; when he returned home, he had this lighter.

This “Cont-Lite” camera-style table lighter is a nostalgic and charming collectible item; it comes with the original tripod and trip release cable.

This unique collectible is perfect for enthusiasts of vintage “Occupied Japan” items. While it may not be the most practical lighter for daily use, its design and history make it a desirable item for collectors.

A similar lighter, in its original box, is currently listed on eBay for $125 (see photo); asking only $30, was $65. Note: This lighter has not been tested.
