A diverse mix of cool old toys and related books dating from 1930’s thru early 90’s. Pictures show condition and any flaws. Some are in new/unused condition. All friction motors work. Small helicopters are French, as is 1969 Solido ‘Tiger’ tank. (Identical one in same camouflage was recently offered on EBay at $60.) 50’s Tootsietoy howitzer still ‘shoots’ toothpicks. 1930’s Tootsietoy ‘Junior G-Man’ pinback badge. 1930’s Tinkertoy windup motor runs fine. Hubley P-40 Tomahawk dates to late 60’s. ‘Overseas Air Lines’ turns both props in sync when pushed. 50th anniversary ‘Popeye’ mug made 1980, gorgeous character art. Howdy Doody/Wyatt Earp cups date late 50’s. Lone Ranger 60th Anniversary pocketknife issued 1990. Roy Rogers and Trigger date to early 50’s, in remarkable shape. Right stirrup and Roy’s sixguns have vanished but he still has his white hat! Sears’ very last TOY catalog, printed 1993. 1993. A real gem is late 50’s ‘Indian princess’ doll with baby. These were sold at dozens of ‘Trading Posts’ along Route 66, on reservations, elsewhere in the Southwest. Such establishments were run by both Native merchants; and ‘wasichus’. Some were little more than ramshackle flea markets-others occupied entire half blocks of towns. This particular doll was bought in 1958 in Winslow AZ, dressed in real deerskin. Disney ‘Rocketeer’ set in new condition. 1970’s ‘Mickey’ toy has pull cord voice, moving mouth. Al Capp’s ‘Schmoo’ is a true rarity. The books are unique. 1950’s Marx pocket basketball game is in fine shape; original ink stamp price is still sharp on back. ERTL die cast DC-3 in late 1950’s Mohawk Airlines ‘Gas Light Service’ livery’. Stewardesses wore ‘Gay Nineties’ costumes; interiors were decorated as old time saloons w/free beer and pretzels served on its short haul routes around NY state, NJ & MA. (An old friend began his airline flying career at Mohawk, including ‘Gaslight’ duty. Through subsequent mergers, Captain Don ended up retiring number two on USAir’s seniority list before THAT line was absorbed by American.)

Some nice, unique old toys and books, with good profit potential if you’re going to resell. Sold only as whole lot, $95 cash obo. Local pickup.
