The Radrunner is a cargo frame, fat tire, e-bike, that can either be powered regularly as a bicycle by pedal, with optional electric pedal assist, or by throttle only.
I always rode it using the second method, of pedaling with the electric pedal assist. There are five modes of pedal assist, 0-5, 0 being none, and just using the bike as a regular bike and all forward motion from rider pedaling... I almost always had it set to 1 for just a little pedal assist, upping it to 4, or 5, when tackling a big hill, and then lowering it back down to 1, after climbing the hill. Doing so, I rarely had to charge the battery... maybe once a week.
For example, my last ride was the Keystone Trail here in Omaha, catching it off of Maple, and riding it all the way down to Highway 370 in Bellevue, and back, and was actually feelin' pretty lazy that day, so mostly had the setting set to 2 the entire ride, and still only used 25% of the battery for riding pretty much the same amount of miles. Of course, that was again on the trail, which is mostly flat... and I am 5'11" and 190'ish pounds.
When I lived downtown, and regularly rode it to work and back on the streets, with the hills, about 10 miles roundtrip, still would only use half the battery, and charge it once a week.
Again, that was my pedaling and using the pedal assist... if go just straight sitting there, no pedaling, and using the throttle only to electrically power and propel you, naturally your battery life, the range you can go, will naturally be less.
Using the pedal assist, with it set to 5, my weight and size, on level ground, I have gotten up to a speed of 27mph... using throttle alone, it maxes out at around 20mph... again depending upon rider weight, terrain, etc.
So, for someone looking for a very solid bike, it is that very much, weighs around 70lbs, as the frame is heavy duty to handle cargo, another passenger even on the back. That is frankly really the only reason I am getting rid of it, as I live in an apartment, and carrying it up and down the stairs, I am just not too fond of doing any more (my last place had an elevator).
Has great safety features, like a nice bright headlight, and rear brake light, that can be turned on and off, and rear brake light also lights up more when applying the brakes. Disc brakes are good, never ever had a can't stop issue. The fat tires, have the Rad Bike / Kenda signature reflective strip on both sides of them, so good visibility when riding in the dark. Rear cargo platform is built into, and part of the sturdy frame itself. Front and rear fenders that came standard from Rad. Built in solid kick stand. Tires still in great shape. Very minor scuffs, wear and tear, here and there on the frame.
Comes with the original manual, battery (which can both be locked on the bike, or removed), Charger (can be charged on or off the bike), two sets of keys to the battery, and a Rad Power Bikes provided toolkit (that I forgot came with it), that has any and every size wrench, Allen key, that would be needed to adjust anything on the bike.
