Minted in Aluminum-Bronze, this 1978 circulated 200 Lire coin from Italy is in very good condition. The front of the coin, is a woman’s head facing right. The mythological woman depicted is Flora, a symbol of the Roman goddess of flowers and Spring. Forming a circle is the inscription REPVBBLICA ITALIANA (Republic of Italy) and at the bottom center, under the dot is the name of the engraver. The reverse side of the coin, the peripheral ring is a square toothed gear, in the center of the ring is inscribed 200 LIRE, and at the bottom center is the date 1978. The Italian Lire was replaced by the Euro in 1999.
