This 2001, turn of the Millennium commemorative issue coin from Mexico, is bi-metallic with a copper-nickel center and brass ring and is in good, circulated condition.
The front of the coin, in the center, is the Coat of Arms of Mexico, a national symbol, depicting a Mexican eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. At the top, forming a semicircle is the inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (United States of Mexico).
The reverse side of the coin, in the center, is the Aztec Sun Stone and the Sun God, Tonatiuhis with fire mask. In the peripheral ring, top center, is the symbol $10 (10 Pesos) and the bottom center is AÑO 2001 (Year 2001).
