Sturdy and solid. Incredible woodworking. All joints are tight. Beautiful rich colors in shades of nutmeg, honey and cinnamon. Fine wood grain. Original patina. Very minor wear, scuffs, scratches, discoloration from normal everyday use.

The seat is wide, sits low to the floor and slants to the back (see photos).
The back angles slightly backward and has the Windsor style variation of the comb back, cattail, or arrow back construction.
