Beautiful antique 14K gold solitaire ring featuring a vibrant round ruby in a classic six-prong setting. The inside of the band is stamped 14K and bears the OB maker’s mark for Ostby & Barton, a respected American jewelry manufacturer from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
One of the company’s founders, Engelhardt Cornelius Ostby, tragically died aboard the Titanic in 1912, making Ostby & Barton jewelry especially collectible.
This ring has been passed down through my family and was my great-grandmother’s ring. I hope it finds a new owner who appreciates both its craftsmanship and its history.
