Metal/heavy rock with sax or other woodwinds? Let's get weird! (Omaha)

Throwing this out into the void... The other day, I had an actual shower idea to put together a heavy rock or metal band that incorporates saxophone (or clarinet, or really any woodwind instrument) in lieu of vocals. Went online to get ideas and it turns out this is very much a thing already - found some cool avant-garde music out there. If you've gotten this far and like weird musical shit, check out the bands Ex Eye, Zu, Yakuza, Neptunian Maximalism, Trepalium, Shining, Igorrr, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, and Kayo Dot. (If you're thinking, "Who the hell are these bands?" don't worry, I literally discovered all but the last two of them in the last few days.)
Now I don't necessarily need to be as weird/avant-garde/experimental as some of the artists I cited above - that was just my starting point for how these kinds of sounds would fit together. My heavier music faves tend to be more in the doom/stoner/sludge realm. Some recent favorites are The Sword, Elder, and Lowrider but I also dig stuff like Cradle of Filth, Sabbath (obviously), Ghost (unashamedly), White Zombie, Uada, Satyricon, Orange Goblin, YOB, The Atomic Bitchwax, Monster Magnet, Nightwish, Windhand, COC, Emperor, Immortal, Bathory, Death, Gojira, First Fragment, Beyond Creation, etc.
I'm using "The Dirtiest Power" as a placeholder name for this idea/project but that is by no means set in stone.
I also listen to a ton of classic rock and indie rock. I'm a 46-year-old married guy who plays bass. I already in two bands and a career and family, so this would be just for fun, maybe a show here and there, though I don't exactly expect it to put butts in seats, lol.
I'm thinking instrumental or absolute minimal vocals. Do you play sax, clarinet, or another woodwind? Guitar or keys? (probably don't need both.) Drums? Would even consider vocals though I envision this being primarily instrumental.
Let's get weird.
