Need Lead Guitar Player/Vocalist

Looking for a guitar player/vocalist for a fun cover project. Guitar player/singer, bass player and drummer, who play together in an original band, want to put together a fun cover project as well. We’re a very tight unit. We play especially well together. This cover project won’t be our main focus, and it doesn’t need to be yours, either. If you have another band, that should be fine as long as you’re not constantly booked with the other band.
We are shooting for just 2 hours of music with very specific shows in mind, and we’ll likely only play every other month, maybe a bit more in the summer. Probably 20-25 songs to work up. Most are easy for an accomplished musician.

We need to find a guitar player who can play lead, and sing some as well. We would be interested in a just a lead player who doesn’t sing if he/she is the right person.

The music is mostly 80s music, but we will play songs from other decades as well.
We come from a long history of playing/performing original music and will approach this band that way. We won’t play everything exactly like the record, and we will play with a lot energy.

Bands we plan to feature are the Violent Femmes, INXS, Cure, REM, Talking Heads, the Romantics, the Clash, Bowie, Echo & the Bunnymen, the Velvet Underground, Devo, B-52s, etc.

If you’ve ever wanted to be in a fun cover band playing this type of music, here is your chance. We are all excellent players who are extremely responsible and dedicated. We are searching for a fourth who is the same. Just need to find the right person and we will get out there very soon.

Please contact us with details about your experience, availability to rehearse, and examples of your playing. We will send you something of us playing together as well when you inquire. We are based in Omaha and rehearse in Papillion.

Thanks!
