Former tradesman on disability looking for a room/apt. OHA only opens up assistance for a day or two every year and that will be months away. I know I qualify, I have in the past. But I need something now and there is no help unless you are actively sleeping on the street. I don't want to do that.

My income is minuscule and I can't afford what "they" are asking for a 1 bedroom apt. these days. I don't need much... a bedroom, a kitchen, a shower, a little storage, a window.

Do you own a property that needs on-site maintenance/upkeep in exchange for a break on rent? Do you know of any place like that?
Desperately seeking help/ideas.
